ControlWorks is proud to present our Crestron Home Driver for the Unifi Access Application.
This Driver connects with the Unifi Access Application, running on a local controller such as a CloudKey or UDM. By leveraging the official Access API from Unifi (running locally), this Driver allows you to lock and unlock doors connected to a Unifi Enterprise Access Hub or Door Hub. Side doors are supported, but gate control via the Gate Hub is not currently available. Unifi has indicated that expanded gate support is on the product roadmap.
With real-time event monitoring, you can receive instant alerts and notifications about door position changes, reader activity (access granted/denied), and doorbell presses — all directly in Crestron Home.
Features of this Driver include:
- Real-Time Event Monitoring: Instant event notifications from your Unifi Access system including doorbell press events, door position status (open, closed, unknown), access granted/denied.
- Native Lock Integration: Doors appear as native Crestron Locks in the Crestron Home app, providing standard lock/unlock controls.
- Advanced Lock Actions: Supports extended control features through custom sequences, including:
- Unlock for a timed interval
- Keep locked
- Keep unlocked
- Momentarily unlock
- End temporary lock rules
- Reset lock state
- Local Communication: Operates and communicates via TCP/IP with local controllers like CloudKey and UDM. No cloud connection required.
Licensing Information:
The Crestron Home Driver is available as a free download (both here and within Crestron Home) and includes a fully functional 7-day trial. To continue using it beyond the trial period, a Module Instance License is required, which can be obtained
here. Each driver instance requires a separate license to function. Please refer to the Driver Help File for detailed instructions on retrieving your Activation Key.
Licenses are tied to the Crestron processor.
SIMPL Windows:
Due to current limitations in both 3-Series and 4-Series processors, this driver is not yet available in SIMPL Windows. We are actively working with Crestron to resolve the issue and bring SIMPL compatibility in a future update.
